Spinning Of Textile Materials

In the near future, when you put on a shirt and prepare for work, the composition label of the shirt is likely to write a new term—— Yellow grass fibre Yesterday, Shan Xinghai, general manager of Dongjiang Craft Weaving Co., Ltd., showed the newly developed new textile materials. Surprisingly, this material is extracted from the yellow grass commonly planted by farmers in Gaobu Town, Yuecheng District.

Spinning → weaving → garment making, a garment is interwoven with various fiber materials. People are used to cotton , hemp, wool and silk, or synthetic fiber from petrochemical raw materials. In recent years, scientists have extracted fiber from soybeans, bamboo and other materials. Inspired by this idea, Shan Xinghai, who has been engaged in the yellow grass weaving business for more than 10 years, came up with the idea of yellow grass.

In 2005, Shan Xinghai took a bundle of yellow grass produced in Gaobu Town to Hangzhou Linte Research Institute and asked to test whether it could be used do spinning The test results at that time showed that the length of a single fiber in the yellow grass was 1.2 mm, and the content of plant fiber was 55%. The research institute has given the answer: it can spin yarn completely.

Also in 2005, the Science and Technology Bureau of Yuecheng District held a docking activity between science and technology experts and enterprises. After this docking activity, "Dongjiang Craft Weaving" and Zhejiang University started a cooperation project - "research and development of green agricultural renewable resources, deltoid yellow grass plant fiber textile materials". The project was also listed as a major provincial science and technology project.

After five years of repeated experiments, researchers finally spun yellow grass into silk thread. Shan Xinghai said that the yellow grass was first dried and broken to extract straw pulp, then used as raw material to extract cellulose fiber, and then went through spinning, molding and post-treatment processes. Yellow grass fiber was born in this way.

In May this year, this project passed the major science and technology special acceptance of the Provincial Science and Technology Department. The project has also applied for five national invention patents, two of which have been authorized. In addition to natural and renewable raw materials, the production process is pollution-free, and yellow grass fiber is made of Fabric Its main advantages are sweat absorption, good air permeability, harmless to the body, easier dyeing, etc.

Shan Xinghai revealed that at present, he has independently developed spinning equipment suitable for the preparation of herbal cellulose fiber, and has also established a new company. He is planning a production line with a capacity of 1000 tons, and the equipment has entered the installation and commissioning stage. It is estimated that according to the existing production process, 2 tons of dried yellow grass can extract 1 ton of fiber, and the lowest price can reach 25000 yuan per ton, with obvious economic benefits.

According to the person in charge of Gaobu Town, there are nearly 3000 households planting yellow grass in the town, with a planting area of more than 2000 mu. There are also a large number of households planting yellow grass in surrounding towns. The success of the yellow grass fiber project will greatly drive the income of surrounding households.
