AAFA CFDA Design Piracy

Recently, AAFA and CFDA have agreed on the piracy act. The two parties have been divided on the bill and have not been resolved. The bill will provide copyright protection for "unique and original" fashion design.

If these innovative designs are passed, they will receive copyright protection for 3 years as "original innovation", until the designer releases the works to the world.

The bill faced fierce opposition from retailers and retailers struggled with the Legislative Council of Congress.

According to the bill, those designs that are roughly the same as the protected works will be prohibited, and consumers and retailers will bear legal liability if they are bought and sold.
