Year-On-Year Growth In Clothing Prices

Statistics released by the National Bureau of statistics in October 14th showed that residents in September of China

Price index (CPI) grew by 6.1% compared with the same period last year. Data show that in September, CPI grew by 0.5%.


In September, food prices rose by 13.4% over the same period last year, affecting the overall price level by about 4.05 percentage points. Food prices rose by 1.1%, affecting the overall price level by about 0.36 percentage points.

Among them, cities rose 5.9%, rural areas rose 6.6%, food prices rose 13.4%, non food prices rose 2.9%, consumer goods prices rose 7.3%, and services prices rose 3%.

The national consumer price level rose 0.5%.

Among them, cities rose 0.4%, rural areas rose 0.6%, food prices rose 1.1%, non food prices rose 0.2%, consumer goods prices rose 0.7%, and prices of service items were unchanged from last month.

The overall level has risen by about 4.05 percentage points.

Among them, grain prices rose 11.9%, affecting the total price level rose by about 0.33 percentage points; meat and poultry products and their products rose by 28.4%, affecting the overall price level by about 1.86 percentage points (pork prices rose by 43.5%, affecting the total price level rose by 1.24 percentage points); the price of eggs Rose 14.2%, affecting the general price level rose by 0.12 percentage points; the price of aquatic products increased 14.1%, affecting the total price level rose by about 0.32 percentage points; vegetable prices rose 2.1%, affecting the overall price level rose by about 1%; fresh fruit prices rose, affecting the overall price level rose by about a percentage point; oil prices rose, affecting the overall price level.

The prices of tobacco and liquor increased by 3.4% over the same period last year.

Among them, tobacco prices rose 0.4%, liquor prices rose by 7.9%.


Clothing prices rose by 3.2% over the same period last year.

Among them, clothing prices rose 3.4%, shoes prices rose 1.8%.
