The First German Machinery Manufacturers Association Held In Shanghai

The China Summit of Machinery Manufacturing Industry Federation was held in Shanghai recently.

More than 100 Chinese company decision makers of the German machinery and equipment manufacturing Federation members participated in this meeting.

Wang Ruixiang, President of China Federation of machinery industry, Barten, vice chairman of the German Federation of machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, Wang Weiming, deputy director of the Ministry of equipment industry, and Zhai Qian, European business counselor of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered the keynote speech for the conference.

The conference was organised by the German Federation of machinery and equipment manufacturers (VDMA) and co sponsored by VDMA Beijing representative office and Shanghai representative office, aiming to provide a platform for mutual exchange and cooperation among the member enterprises of the German machinery and equipment Federation in China.

The German enterprises attending the conference are all mechanical and equipment manufacturing enterprises, but they come from different industries: mining machinery, power and pmission machinery, construction machinery.

Clothing and leather equipment, plastics and rubber machinery, agricultural machinery, food and packaging equipment, woodworking machinery, robotics and automation equipment, metallurgical equipment, printing machinery, motor and drive, and machine tool industry.

Both China and Germany are big manufacturers. Machinery manufacturing is also one of the key areas of Sino German economic and trade cooperation.

The machinery manufacturing industry of the two countries is at different stages of development, complementarity is strong.

Germany's machinery and equipment manufacturing industry accounts for 19% of the global market share. Among the 31 categories of machinery and equipment products, Germany ranks 21 in the top 10, and the top three in the other 10 fields.

Although China's machinery manufacturing level has made considerable progress in recent years, there is still a certain gap compared with Germany.

Therefore, cooperation between the two countries' machinery industry is greater than competition and opportunities outweigh challenges.

Germany has become one of the largest import sources of machinery and equipment in China.

As a world famous manufacturing power, Germany's advanced science and technology, exquisite manufacturing technology, scientific operation and management, excellent product quality and good professional ethics have enjoyed high reputation in the same industry all over the world.

This has provided favorable conditions for the friendly cooperation between the machinery industries of the two countries.

According to German statistics, in 2011, Germany exported 18 billion 800 million of its machinery and equipment to China, accounting for nearly 30% of Germany's total exports to China, accounting for 20% of China's total imports of machinery and equipment.

According to rough statistics, more than 600 of VDMA's more than 3100 member enterprises have been doing business in China, and about half of them have set up R & D institutions in China and set up factories or assembly shops.

The managers of German enterprises in China not only listened to the reports of Chinese and foreign trade associations and government officials on the economic and trade situation of China and Germany and the development of China's future economic form, but also exchanged extensive experiences on the experiences of investing and operating enterprises in China, including localization, intellectual property rights protection, import and export of products, and energy conservation and energy efficiency standards.

The German machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Association (VDMA) has more than 3100 member companies and is the largest and most important institution in the European investment products industry.

Its headquarters is located in Frankfurt, Germany, and has more than 400 experts in related fields.

VDMA has 39 professional associations and has a series of interdisciplinary forums, committees and working groups.

The local associations in Germany are responsible for establishing links directly with the member enterprises and the relevant political leaders of the local government.

In the European Union Organizations in the capital Berlin and Brussels, VDMA was directly contacted with the political circles.

In recent years, VDMA has set up its own offices and service centers in the world's most important markets of the national economy, such as China, India, Japan and Russia, to provide assistance to member enterprises.
