In July 16, 2008, the European Commission put forward a series of continuous consumption and production proposals (SCP) and a sustainable industrial policy (SIP) action plan.

These recommendations will promote the environmental development of products, expand the demand for sustainable products and production technology, while encouraging the EU industry to make full use of innovation opportunities.

About a year ago, four Thailand textile companies won the EU eco trademark.

They are the first group of Asian textile companies to win this honor.

Thailand media and industry are very interested in this, because sustainable production is not only conducive to environmental protection, but also creates opportunities for Thailand textiles to enter the European market.

(EU Flower) is now regarded as a symbol in Thailand. It is believed that it can enhance the competitiveness and added value of Thailand's textile industry in the EU market.

The four companies that have won the EU environmental label are: Asia fiber Asia Fiber (products: 100% nylon stretch yarn), Green Town Trade Green Ville Trading (products: silk fabric), Molo textile industry Rama Textile Industry (products: 100% cotton elastic yarn), Hongtai textile, Thong Thai Textile (products: cotton fabrics and garments).

After more than a year of training and upgrading, they have completely changed the entire cycle of textile production and reached the high standard of EU eco trademark.

All costs are worth it.

One of the four textile companies in Thailand said that although the implementation of the EU spending process needs to increase production costs, they have received positive feedback from the European market, and their export growth has reached 25% this year.

But they are prepared to continue to expand their trade opportunities in Europe. They believe that the quality products they produce will meet the needs of the expanding EU's environmental protection market.

Therefore, they will take part in the World Textile Fair (Texworld Fair) held in Paris from September 22, 2008 to 25.
