India Local electricity supplier giant Flipkart and Amazon India has launched a big sales promotion at the end of the year. Some of the products have been discounted to ninety percent off. Faced with the aggressive stance of online retailers, many retail outlets in India have expressed their dissatisfaction and joined together to protest against this predatory pricing.

According to the report in December 4th, India's traditional physical retailers finally formed a united front for the first time to jointly cope with the enormous challenges brought by online retailers. The entity retailer jointly sent a letter to the Ministry of Commerce of India, complying with the predatory pricing strategy of the electronic business platform, trying to break down the physical retail store. At the same time, the traditional retailers Union should formulate clear laws and regulations to manage the online retailing industry and the whole retail trade.

According to statistics, India's online retail sales are about $4 billion, and the next two years are expected to rise to $15 billion. The retail market in India has a total value of about $600 billion, while physical retail stores still account for most of the market share. However, there is a lack of normative organizations in the physical retail market. According to statistics, the total retail market still accounts for only 0.75% of the total retail market.

Since India's local e-commerce giant Flipkart launched the Big Billion Day promotion campaign and Amazon launched the Diwali Dhamaka Week promotion, India entity retailers began to protest that the discount offered by online retailers was too low to damage the interests of the physical store. This is the first time a India entity retailer has joined together to protest against the actions of online retailers.

Although they unite to protest against online retailers, some entity retailers are starting to plan their online retail businesses to maintain E-commerce while maintaining their existing retail businesses.

While many small and medium scale retailers were on the street to protest, large entity retailers remained unmoved. It seems that not all physical retailers exclude online retailers. For example, Future Group's Kishore Biyani, the first entity retailer to express its strong dissatisfaction with the loss of online retail outlets, has signed a three year cooperation agreement with the e-commerce giant Amazon after less than a few weeks of protest.

Over the past few years, E-commerce in India It develops rapidly and attracts investors from various countries. It is reported that Amazon and Flipkart have recently drawn sharp criticism from physical retailers, because many products are sold at ninety percent off super low prices. The industry believes that this kind of ultra-low discount is the result of a large influx of foreign capital into the India market.
