Feetz: Creating 7 Billion Sizes Of Shoes Is Not A Dream.

Feetz founder and chief executive officer Lucy Beard (LucyBeard) said on the 14 day of the SXSW conference initiation accelerator project.

The goal of Feetz is to create an absolute fit for everyone.

Beard said, "using 3D printing technology, we can accurately tailor a shoe for the most suitable size for everyone."

"There are 7 billion pairs of feet in the world."

Beard said, "it's not just a limited number of sizes."

Before the speech, Beard made a small survey on the spot. She asked all the people present how many people felt that their shoes on their feet were not fit. Although she did not ask everyone to raise their hands, they could see many people at the scene looking at each other and smiling.

The start-up company led by Beard has found such a real "pain spot" and is working to solve it.

Feetz's plan is that users will use their developed smartphone apps to take three photos of their feet and send them to them. They will create special shoes belonging to every user through 3D printers according to the photos of their users' feet, and then send them to the user's home within the next week or so.

The judges at the scene seem to be very interested in this venture. After her presentation session, the jury turns to ask questions, "how much is the price? Is there any cooperation under the cable? What is the financing situation?"

Beard answered all these questions one by one.

At present, the price of Feetz shoes is about $200, which is not cheap. She explains that after the scale of future sales, the price will be reduced accordingly, which will be below 100 dollars.

Not long ago, Feetz has just completed the $1 million 250 thousand financing of the seed wheel. At present, the start-up team has only 7 members.

Adam Oguli, director of TrueVentures investment, one of the competition judges of the wearable equipment business competition, told Tencent science and technology that he was interested in the project because of his own resonance, because he himself had a sense of indifference to shoes and AdamD.

Oguli said he is a runner who loves running, but suffers from knee pain. Many times he can't find fit running shoes.

He believes that the most important thing of wearable devices is to consider practicality and comfort, so that people are willing to use it, can not do without it, and Feetz's products take good account of these two aspects.

Another idea that won the judges is the idea of customization of Feetz products, which is truly tailored to every user.

Beard said that one day before he started the project, he suddenly found that the degree of customization of Starbucks cup coffee was better than that of his choice.
