The top 20 designers will be judged by the authoritative jury. The works of the top designers will stand out. The finalists will be held at the 2016 Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai Exhibition on -22 July 20th.

This children's design competition aims to discover and train outstanding designers of children's wear, and to show the design and innovative thinking of the new generation of fashionable children's clothing.

In the preliminary stage, 1035 submissions were received from 155 professional colleges and over 100 professional fashion designer.

The finalists are well-known figures in the field of costume design in China: Wei Chao, China's top ten fashion designer, Liu Xiaogang, Dean of the clothing Institute of Donghua University, Shanghai, Professor of the Department of dyeing and clothing design, The China Academy of Art, and the chairman of the academic committee of the China Fashion Designers Association. Qian Qier was selected at the preliminary contest of the children's wear design competition.

As a judge, Liu Xiaogang pointed out: "the overall level of entries is very good, imagination is very rich, expressive is also very good."

Wei Chao said: "the competition is very wide. There are many excellent works.

The full liberalization of the national two child policy is a hot trend nowadays, and adult demands for clothes will extend to children.

Many enterprises have begun to prepare children's wear market, though it is difficult, I believe the future of children's clothing will be good.

The final stage of the competition will be held at the 2016 Cool Kids Fashion site held in Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) on 20-22 July. Through the static display and dynamic fashion show of the finalists, the final judges will decide the winning design works, and the host will also help the designers join the children's clothing enterprises and professionals.
