India Notice Relieves Import Duties Of Respirators, Masks, Personal Protective Equipment And Other Products.

The Ministry of finance of India announced in April 9th (2020) April 9th (Notification No.20/2020 Customs) that respirators (HS Code:9018 or 9019), respirators (HS Code:63 or any chapter), personal protective equipment (HS Code:62 or any chapter), new crown virus detection reagent reagents (HS Code:30 or 38 or any chapter) and raw materials for manufacture of the above products (HS) Code: import duty and health tax on any chapter.

The above provisions shall take effect immediately from the date of announcement in April 9th, and the above tax exemption measures will take place until this (2020) September 30th.
