Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau has promulgated 13 local standards of Guangdong Province, among which the "commercial laundry washing quality service standard" and "laundry washing enterprise grading and grading requirements" will be formally implemented in July 1st this year.

These two standards clearly stipulate that laundry and washing enterprises must be equipped with disinfection facilities, and the laundry process must be sterilized.

It is reported that the standard industry believes that the implementation of the standards will bring a comprehensive reshuffle for the laundry washing industry in the whole province.

Laundry washing industry is a problem.

It is understood that by the end of 2003, there were more than 400 professional laundry and washing enterprises in Guangdong, nearly 1000 hotels and laundry centers, and more than 10 thousand laundry shops with about 100000 employees.

According to the Guangdong provincial standardization association, many small laundries in the province are "black shops" which do not receive the business license. They are generally located in residential areas, and the vast majority of practitioners have not received professional training.

These stores generally use the "shop in one" mode, before the store, laundry, even after the daily living, which is very poor hygiene, and many small shops using obsolete old equipment and poor laundry detergent, laundry quality can not be guaranteed.

And the price is far lower than the formal enterprises. The regular laundry will need 8~10 yuan for washing a garment, but these stores only cost five or six yuan, leading to a vicious competition phenomenon.

In addition, the sewage and exhaust gas discharged from laundry and washing enterprises directly pollute the surrounding environment.

Disinfection is necessary for laundry process.

The root cause of many problems in laundry washing industry in Guangdong is lack of standards and regulations.

To this end, by the Guangdong provincial quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Guangdong Standardization Association and Guangdong Laundry Detergent Association jointly draft the two Guangdong local standards for "commercial laundry washing service quality specification" and "washing and washing enterprise grading and grading requirements".

The standard clearly stipulates that the laundry area should not be less than 50 square meters, and must be equipped with perfect sewage disposal facilities and steam facilities to meet washing and washing. The laundry should have a fixed place of operation with an area of not less than 5 square meters. There must be a special clothing storage facility and a clothing cabinet.
