Recently, relying on the technology of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the new Jiangsu Mstar Technology Ltd has built a pilot plant with an annual output of 20 tons of polyimide fiber.
In the production workshop of Nuo Nuo new material company, we invest about 10000000 yuan in the production line of polyimide fiber, and the golden yellow fiber is rolled into a tube of wire, which feels strong and soft by hand.
This fiber material is the industrialization achievement of the project magnification in Changzhou by using the preparation technology of the polymetric imide fiber of Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
How can it be monopolized by foreign enterprises?
"The biggest advantage of this kind of fiber is high temperature and low temperature. It is suitable for 200 degrees below zero ~300 C, and has no ultraviolet radiation.
Han Enlin, chief technology officer of Jiangsu new Mstar Technology Ltd, said the low end market of polyimide materials was mainly made into dust bags for filtering PM2.5 in the air, such as cement kiln dust, flue gas from thermal power plants, flue gas discharged from waste incineration plants, smoke generated by heating in the north and dust produced by iron and steel plants.
Compared with the traditional electrostatic precipitator method, the low energy consumption and high efficiency bag type dust removal method is a kind of dust removal technology promoted internationally in recent years.
In almost all cases, the dust removal efficiency can reach more than 99%.
If the design, manufacture, installation and operation are proper, especially the proper maintenance and management, the dedusting efficiency will reach 99.9%.
In many cases, the dust concentration of bag filter can reach dozens of milligrams per cubic meter, or even less than 0.1mg/m3.
Therefore, sometimes the exhaust of the bag type dust collector can be sent back to the internal recycling of the workshop, thus saving energy and expenses for heating or cooling the supply air.
However, the core of high temperature dust laden gas is high temperature filter material, and the most critical raw material of the filtration material is high temperature resistant fiber.
Polyimide fibers play an important role in the development of high performance filter materials due to their superior filtration performance and unique cost performance.
However, the new materials for making dust bags have not been industrialized in large scale in China, and only a company in Austria has produced mass production and monopolized the global market.

In terms of labor protective clothing, China's metallurgical industry needs 50 thousand sets of thermal insulation, breathable and soft flame retardant clothing every year, and water and nuclear industries, geological and mining, petrochemical, oil fields and other departments need 300 thousand protective clothing annually, and 300 tons of high temperature and flame retardant special protective clothing are required annually.
In addition, in the field of nuclear energy industry, space environment, high-speed pport, marine development, sports equipment, new building materials, microelectronics and other fields, polyimide fiber has broad application prospects.
The story behind incubation
As early as 2007, Beijing University of Chemical Technology completed the pilot production line from a single fiber to a ton scale in the laboratory, and has been looking for a production base that can be industrialized.
"The 5. 18 exhibition fair" 4 years ago, Beijing University of Chemical Technology signed a project to settle Changzhou's agreement through the North Changzhou Research Institute. In March last year, the Jiangsu new Mstar Technology Ltd was registered.
After nearly a year's construction, the company has built a pilot plant with a total annual output of 20 tons of polyimide fiber, which has completely independent intellectual property rights.
Wu Hao, executive vice president of Changzhou Advanced Materials Research Institute, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, said.
"7 years ago, Beijing University of Chemical Technology began to explore cooperation with local industry, University and Research Institute. The only school research institute settled in Changzhou science and education city.
The initial idea of Beijing University of Chemical Technology leaders is to make the Changzhou research institute a window to connect schools with businesses.

To Changzhou, Wu Hao spent half a year running more than 500 enterprises.
"At that time, I wanted to find out the situation as soon as possible and give the school a message that it could carry out the industry university research cooperation in Changzhou.
Changzhou entrepreneurs put forward two requirements: first, cooperative R & D projects must be placed in Changzhou, so as to facilitate timely consultation and settlement of problems in cooperation; and the two is to help enterprises cultivate skilled personnel.
After running for nearly half a year, the idea was completely overthrown.
"North and Changzhou's cooperation in production, teaching and research can not be on the surface. We must turn the window into a real R & D and cooperation base."
At the end of that year, Wu Hao reported his idea to the school: building a research institute in Changzhou.
The answer of the school is very simple: "support, but money must be raised by itself."
Nearly half a year's research and negotiations, there are some small cooperation projects.
Wu Hao used all the money he earned from the market in the Research Institute.

Over the past few years, they have cooperated with enterprises to develop 32 projects, and the cooperation amount is 102 million yuan. In the implementation stage of the project, they have provided 902 times for the enterprises to analyze and detect, and have provided technical consulting and technical guidance services for more than 200 times.
The new low-cost polyimide fiber project with a total investment of 120 million yuan and an annual output of 100 tons is also the largest project currently being hatched by the Institute.
